i’ve never heard of them. check with the Better Business Bureau to see if anyone has filed a complaint against the company. try looking for a debt counseling company that doesn’t charge for their services(non-profit) and are in the city or town in which you live. don’t fool around with any companies over the internet

We did use this company many years ago, and they did help us, at the time, but lately I have spoken to a couple of friends that recently used them
(within the last 8 years) and they were not happy with their results. Today
there are many companies that do the same thing, I suggest you shop around a bit.

only go through credit counseling agencies that are non-profits; the other ones are for-profits, and you know how they profit? From their clients, like you. Try your local United Way and ask them for credit counselors. They’ll do the same job or better for less money, maybe none. The only difference is that the won’t promise you the world before they have your money and disappoint you when they don’t live up to expectations.

Here’s the simple answer: if they are asking you to pay them BEFORE they can “repair” your credit or help you, then IT’S ILLEGAL.

They are not permitted to tell you that they can repair your credit and then ask for money BEFORE they do it.

Credit repair agencies are scammers for the most part. They tell you they will get all the “negative” information removed from your credit report, but all they are legally allowed to do is challenge what is on there, and you can do that yourself for FREE. The only information that is allowed to be removed is information that cannot be VERIFIED or that is IN ERROR. And you can also do that yourself. When you “challenge” the entries on your Credit report, the law states that they have 28 days to investigate and respond. IF the entry is factual–that is, if there are no errors and it’s verified, then the negative info STAYS. NO one can remove it.

Any consumer credit counseling agency that offers to repair your report is probably scamming you. However, if the agency says they can help you with paying DOWN your debt, and teaching you about how credit works is probably okay–but you can also get THESE services for free in most communities. And the legitimate ones never ask for fees up front.
