If you added your wife as a joint signer she is responsible for the debt as much as you are. If you added her as a authorized user, you are responsible for the debt by yourself.
The only way to fix any damage that has been done is to pay your credit cards on time every month and pay more than the minimum payment. If you wife is using the cards in a irresponsible manner? Call the credit card companies and have her name removed.
