I am kind of in the same boat as you. I have lots of past due bills and its very hard to get a loan, buy a house, etc when your credit is that way. So what you can do is arrange a payment plan with the creditors and pay by month what you can until you get it paid off. Or there are companies out there that can help you consolidate your debt by working with creditors and getting all your bills into one and you can just pay montly on that. I think one that I’ve seen on TV is Debt Consolidators of America. I’m pretty sure you could look it up on Google. Most of those places do it for free. Its worth looking into because I know what its like to have crappy credit, you can’t do anything! Good luck.

Start paying your debts. Utilities can do more damage to your credit than anyone, so those should be the first you tackle.
If you’re having real trouble, try some debt management that can consolidate and/or lower some of your debt. Only as a very last resort should you think about Ch. 11.

I have had some issues in the past…go to your bank and ask them for guidance. Visit the websites of all three credit agencies (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) because all three of them have tips on how to repair your credit. Order and pay for your credit reports and read them thoroughly! There could be mistakes that can be fixed and help repair your credit. Be patient but be aggressive in finding out information. This is your credit so go get out there and fix it! Good luck!

I had the same problem. Pay all much as you can a month. Even if its only 5 dollars. I had to get a second job, but I paid off everything. I recently got approved for a car loan and a cell phone. Just put your mind to paying those damn bills off. I know it ***** but you can do it. As long as you eventually pay them, your credit will repair itself little by little. NO MORE credit cards. I had to tell myself that I am not responsible enough to have credit cards. I call them the devil. If you don’t have cash, you don’t really need it. GOOD LUCK, keep your head up, it will work out. Remember, you will always have bills, but let them get to you, but try to get them under control.

Start paying ALL your bills on time. Every month. Don’t neglect any. If you can’t pay some large bills, ask for a reduced amount to pay, but have them agree so that they don’t hit you with fees for not paying the minimum that is due. A company would rather you pay something regularly and on time than have you not pay anything.

Try Credit Consumer Counseling…they make contact with everyone that you owe and set up a payment plan with them…then you pay them one lump sum every month and they disperse the money to the different places..its a free service….if it is a credit card company you have to surrender the credit card….also all interest stops once they take over the payments for you….

Everyone here has great ideas. I would try what everyone here has posted except for the moving to India part. Thats just silly.
Find a good Debt Relif company that will help you get back on your feet. There are also some online companies that can help.
Good Luck!
