I am not sure the RNC asked Ron Paul but he has said in a press conference that he is NOT supporting McCain.

Ron Paul doesn’t like McCain. (He actually votes in line with Dennis Kucinich in many cases.) He endorsed Nader, McKinney, Barr, and Baldwin.
