I was recently divorced, my daughter is in college. I fell behind on some payments on my credit cards in an effort to support my daughters educational needs. I have two homes with approx. $70,000.00 worth of equity. I requested from a local bank where i already have a note to borrow approx. $30,000.00 to pay off all cards and other debts. The banking institution refused my request, stating that i have some delinquent payment issues, on cards, etc. He stated since i have a note with them the only thing he can do, is re-adjust my payments on that particular note i have with them. I am new at this type thing, could someone please give me some advice? I am just trying to bail myself out of the hold that i am in, to make a life better for my daughter.

How many citizens do you know that are allowed to acquire $14 trillion debt without losing anything?

My boyfriend has about 1107 bucks he owes between a hospital bill and a credit card. How do we start to pay this off so when we can start trying to build his credit up. These are the ONLY 2 things on his credit and I have no credit what so ever.
Only 137 is to the hospital. So he just calls the hospital and credit card company and say hey my girlfriend says I need to start payin yall back and set up a payment plan?

we already got approved for a 270,000 but the broker said because of our score we DID qualify for the government loan BUT the payment will be over 2000. i didnt ask him but if we paid our debt off next week (ill be running into owed money) then how long should we wait before we apply? we were hoping to try and get a mortgage that would be between 1800-1950 nothing more. ALSO do all brokers try the same loans, in other owrds should we try a different broker or its not the broker its ONLY our score? How do brokers work? with all the same companies or different ones?
