Problem with paying my credit card debt online?

I scheduled a payment for my cable to be paid on the 22nd with my credit card. When i try to pay my credit card debt today, it shows this error. Error:Your total scheduled payment amounts exceed your current balance. Your total payment amount in a billing cycle cannot exceed your Current Balance.

That sounds misstated unless it is a prepaid credit card or debit card (in which case it is likely correct). If it is a regular credit card it should say the payment would exceed your available credit or credit limit.
