What are some simple ways to save money?

I’m about to get my license and I’m worried that as soon as I have it I will be going out everywhere wasting my money on clothes, coffee, whatever! Just because it’s that new found freedom.

What are some simple ways to save money for teens? Stupid things teens waste money on? Simple ways to earn money (besides a REAL job)? Any advice/suggestions?

How about opening your saving account?
You should make it hard to access.
I understand how you feel. When I got my license, I was so excited and spent a lot of money. And I realized that oh boy, I spent a lot of money for something I did not need.

be careful in spending the real money , create some good libilities so u can pay , such as homeloan , recurring deposits , life insurance, provident fund , government securities, etc satisfied or want more ideas

My daughter got hers in June. I pay for gas to school and college, nothing else. She has found an innovative way to earn extra cash that I don’t mind. She charges her friends $2 a day to take them home. Her car only has 4 seatbelts so $6 a day ($30/wk) pays for the extra gas plus extra for her and her friends love it because they don’t have to ride the bus. The catch is the parents all know me and know she is a good driver. She uses this as “play” money and saves her babysitting cash.

Congratulations on getting your license! There are lots of ways to save money on things that teenagers want/need.

I don’t know about you, but when I was a teenager I spent lots of money on clothes and makeup. There are lots of fun things you can do with your friends to save money on stuff like that. Have a clothes swap– you may **** that dress you wore 100 times but your friend will think its fresh and fun. You can also all get together and make fun beauty products like body scrubs. Homemade stuff always feels great, is cheaper than the store bought brands, and staying in keeps you from spending money on movies and dinner!

Of course, you should enjoy your money. Treat yourself to one movie or a few coffee drinks a month–but don’t go overboard.

As for making money– babysitting is always great. You can also run errands for friends and neighbors to make money for gas and entertainment. If you have the knowledge, tutoring or doing computer training is a great way to make some money.
