Plan your meals ahead using the coupons you have as your guide. Then stick to the plan when you shop.

Make out a weekly menu and plan your groceries according to the menu. Make a list and stick to it.

Double up on menu items. For example, make pot roast on Sunday, and cut up leftover roast for beef and macaroni later in the week.

Watch for sale items and stock up on items when they are on sale.

I'd say my biggest money saver is by watching the sales ad's and buying extra's once it's on sale. Also, making a grocery list really helps from doing any impulse buys.

Also, for myself, it works best to figure out what my meals will be for the week, make my list of what I need and buy only that. Many times my list will correspond with what's on sale for the week. I plan a couple last minute meals so if you don't have time to prepare what you originally did, then you have backup.

Clip any coupons that you can. Do not clip the ones of things you don't use or don't need. Many people waste money trying new products just because they have a coupon.

Clean your cupboards out every so often and use your food up. Not eating leftovers and throwing outdated food really adds up in a years time.

Have a selection of favorite easy recipes eg. spaghetti bolognese bangers and mash these are inexpensive recipes, and don't shop when hungry. Use a slow cooker to make tasty meals from less expensive cuts of meat use half and freeze the rest in portions for use later. Do not buy two to get one free what ever it is unless it is dish washer tablets.

Save coupons.
By store brand items.
Shop several different stores.
Look for specials.
Stock up when something you use often is on sale.
Never shop for groceries while hungry.
Larger containers are not always the best buy.
Watch your sales receipts ,some times mistakes are made.

basically you shop when there are sales going on, use coupons, you can go to stores like Aldi's, compare foods, save a lot, walmart stores like that sometimes have the same as a regular super market just a lower price, they only thing i suggest is don't buy meat from them, but coupons can save you alot of money.

Use coupons, buy items that are on sale (and if you use the items a lot like canned veggies buy extra and save them for later, when they're not on sale), don't buy too much produce (you just have to throw it out if it goes bad), look into places like Costco, buy store brands instead of name brands, buy meat in bulk (ie the 5 lb package of hamburger) and divide it into freezer bags at home, plan out your meals before going to the store (so you're less tempted to buy impulse items every time you go to the store- plus you save on gas). Some of the cheaper stores I shop at do not have good produce so I'll buy nonperishables at the cheaper stores about once a month and buy my produce on a weekly basis. Good luck!
