Don't do settlements yourself. They usually aren't accepted. Go through debt settlement, most will get you out of debt in 3 years or less with a monthly payment that works for you. If you are interested contact me, i work for one.

CCC is a joke.

You should think about a credit repair company. My credit was terrible 10 months ago from a restaurant failure. I now enjoy a 770 score. This repair company is great! They are not debt negotiators or consolidators they simply utilize loopholes in the system to repair your credit. As negatives are removed your score obviously rises. Maybe that is a better solution to your problem. Good Luck!

I think that you have a great idea in thinking that you should pay your property taxes BEFORE you pay your credit card counselors.
I dont know what the difference between a reduction negotiator and the CCC would be but I am thinking that maybe you can just get on the phone with your credit card companies and try to work out settlements yourself. I dont really see what you have to loose if they say no and certainly you realize that there will be fees involved in paying someone else to negotiate on your behalf
that money could be used towards paying your bill.
There are some credit card 'kits' on ebay that might help and he cost is very cheap ($6.00) they might be worth it to check out tooo
